SKADD Academy teaches practical, hands-on skills that prepare young South Africans for a job or to build a business of their own, right where they live.
Our mission
Skills that lead to income.
SKADD Academy exists to upskill previously disadvantaged black youth and to bring more women into growing industries, preparing them for sustainable, high-value careers or to build businesses of their own. In doing so, we tackle unemployment directly while driving transformation and digital inclusion.
We were founded by the team behind SKADD Gaming, an international online casino and sportsbook operator. Working in the industry, we saw talented young South Africans held back not by ability, but by a lack of practical training, experience and a way in.
We also saw that a job isn't the only answer. In many communities, shops are far away, transport is expensive and everyday needs go unmet. Those gaps are business opportunities. With the right skills, and good money management, young people can build businesses that serve their neighbours and create income where it's needed most.
